On August 19, 2013, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket management and staff participated in Laguna Phuket’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility activity, “Helping to Support a Green Community” mangrove tree planting initiative.
Planting 2,000 mangrove tree saplings to help restore coastal ecosystems and increase environmental conservation and awareness was a great opportunity for 150 Laguna Phuket hoteliers to partner with local students and villagers in Phang Nga province to work together for the community.
The saplings were planted in Baan Thadindeang, Taimuang District, Phang Nga, under the environmental program organized by the Laguna Phuket Resort Development complex.
Launched in 2007, the campaign in which employees and volunteers restore lost mangrove trees has continued to grow, with a total of 14,800 mangrove trees planted over the past 7 years.
