On 18th June 2014 at Phuket Provincial Hall, Khun Pramuk Achariyachai – Phuket FC President met with Phuket Governor – Maitree Intusut to ask for support from relevant government agencies with regards to a friendly match between Phuket FC and Spanish La Liga side Almeria, scheduled to be played at Surakul Stadium on 6th August 2014.
Khun Pramuk said he had met with Khun Maitree to discuss with him the details of the game and the matters which he needs support with, such as assisting with security measures, installing signage at various points around the island, and also improvements to Phuket FC’s home ground Surakul Stadium, especially the bathrooms, which are in need of updating to make them cleaner and safer. Khun Pramuk understands that the latter will have to be discussed with Phuket Provincial Administration Organization who is responsible for the stadium.
La Liga’s Almeri recently made the headlines here in Thailand after signing Thai international Teerasil Dangda from Muangthong United on a one-year loan deal, and making him the first Thai footballer to play in La Liga.
