A press conference was held recently at the PPAO office of in Phuket Town to announce a training program by PPAO and Phuket Employment Office for tourism industry executives. The conference was chaired by PPAO Chief Executive – Paiboon Upattising and Chair of Phuket Employment Office – Nares Srinak.
The training program, entitled “Strategies for Executives”, is being organized by the Phuket Employment Office and funded by PPAO, and intended for employees of hotels which are tourist tax-contributing members.
The training course aims to equip the industry’s senior managers with skills to successfully manage and operate a team of personnel in hospitality concerns. The course will be led by Ajarn Worapot Panthusart, an expert in this field. Course modules include: framework for developing quality managers, effective communication skills (Think & Speak concept), and positive and creative thinking, among others. The course costs 1,000 baht for each employee of member hotels, 1,200 baht for each individual member of the Phuket Employment Office and 1,500 baht each for other individuals. Those interested can apply through their hotel administrators who will pass applications to Suda Tansatyalert, committee member of the Phuket Employment Office.
