On 1st August 2013 at Phuket Provincial Hall Office, the Phuket Teacher’s Selection Committee President – Buntoon Thongtan and his brother Chumphon Thongtan or Go Kai, a popular Thai singer, held a press conference to announce “Charity Concert for Phuket Students” which is to be held on 15th September 2013 at Phuket Aphrodite opposite Tesco Lotus in Phuket Town.
Khun Buntoon said “The aim of this concert is to raise funds for Phuket’s students. We need to encourage kids who are singing enthusiasts, or kids who have an interest in any activity, to move ahead and develop themselves in what they are interested in so that it will help them in their careers and build a reputation to Phuket’s future. If we are able to promote the kids it will help them develop their ideas.”
Go Kai added “This charity concert event, is being held in Phuket, my hometown, to show my thanks for the Phuket people who have always supported me. The revenue from ticket sales will support a scholarship scheme for Phuket’s children. Many famous Thai artists will be joining the concert such as Takkatan Chollada, Gam The Star, Paowalee Pornpimol, Non The Voice and Gluay Stamp.”
