As Thailand races forward in the digital content age, the Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA) is quickening the pace of development. We work to promote capability, education and innovation in the country’s software, animation and game industry, sharpening the competitiveness of Thai companies. Year on year, the software industry has been growing by 10-15% earn it earns the country more than 60000 million baht each year.”
“It is SIPA’s aim to develop Phuket to become an Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) City with the development of a software center. Phuket is one of the main tourism areas in Asia, and it now has a budget to support the development of the software center. The operation is expected to begin in 2014fiscal year using a budget of about 20 million baht. Once this is developed we believe that there is a high possibility that Phuket will become the center of tourism software in Asia because it is a major tourist city and has many areas with tourism potential. We also believe that software designers from around the world come to Phuket.”
