A team from PPAO recently visited the Cherng Talay area in Thalang and held a meeting with local officials to prepare for the upcoming “Or Bor Jor Sanjorn” or Mobile Service Station. The PPAO team comprised of Deputy Chief – Soratham Jinda (acting on behalf of Chief Executive Paiboon Upattising), Council Members – Sanya Sinsrida, Sithichok Dechapibal & Sonthaya Supalak, officials and staff. They were joined by Cherng Talay Subdistrict Administration Organization (SAO) Head – Ma-ann Samran and his team. Also in attendance were officials from Cherng Talay Municipality.
In organizing the upcoming event, the second of the 2014 fiscal year, PPAO works in collaboration with the local SAO and Municipality with the aim of bringing the various governmental service sectors to the community and working closely with the local people.
The fair is set to take place on March 15, 2014, between 8am – 2pm in the ground of Cherng Talay SAO. The event will feature many stations set up by various government offices including: Free spectacles for senior citizens by the Red Cross booth (also accepting organ donations); Free eye inspection by PPAO Hospital; Vaccination and sterilization for pets by Phuket Department of Livestock Development; Legal services by Phuket Office of Justice; Advice on detention and parole in relation to drug offenses by the Probation Office; Exhibition of alternative energy sources by Phuket Energy Office; Advice in relation to crops growing, diseases and pests by Phuket Agricultural Research and Development Office; Booth selling compulsory car insurance by the Transport Office; Stations offering engine oil changing and haircuts by Phuket Polytechnic College; Advice on soil improvement by Phuket Soil Development Office; Agricultural advice by Agricultural Office; Employment advice and services by the Office of Employment Phuket; OTOP booth; Distribution of registration books for farmers by Thalang Agricultural Office; Paper flower making and craft project by Thalang Adult Education School; Motorcycle maintenance by Thalang Technical College; Other booths by private sectors.
Central to the event is the “Wethi Prachakom” or the people’s forum where the public can voice their opinions and file complaints. PPAO will have its own booth with materials to promote its achievements in the area of tourism, sports, Phuket Care Projects, among others. Live entertainment will include musical and dance performances from local schools and government offices.
