A PPAO run school, Ban Mai Riap School in Kathu, recently opened its door to the public to showcase its various educational projects. Opening the event was PPAO Council Member – Theera Jiasakul, who acted on behalf of Chief Executive Paiboon Upattising, with other Council Members Boon-um Uerjittrakul and Kanthapat Pisitkunanon, school’s administrators, teachers and students also in attendance.
The Open House event aimed to showcase educational projects and students’ academic success during the 2013 school year. At the event there were ten display booths listing kindergarten, primary and secondary pupils’ achievements and projects, and there was live entertainment performed by students in Thai and English.
In their speeches, School Director – Piyamon Sae-ong and Council Member – Theera Jiasakul both acknowledged that education plays a big role in the development of society and the quality of life for its members. Well-educated youths will grow up to become knowledgeable adults with good and stable careers, and thus form an important part of the country’s development.
“This Open House event is a commendable project. It empowers high achieving students while inspiring the rest. Parents learn about the school’s activities and how their children are progressing in school. The event will also forge good collaborations between the school and parents, and encourages the exchanging of ideas, which will eventually lead to improvement of learning and teaching activities,” said Mr. Theera.
